Firstly, thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Andy Tomkins otherwise known as “Andy Tenerife Walker” and sometimes referred to as the Guanche of Tenerife, as I have 25 years’ experience of walking Tenerife’s Great Outdoors.  

My knowledge of the mountains and forests, local history, and the flora and fauna here is extensive. Before moving to Tenerife, I was a ranger in the Peak District National Park, but my love of hiking and exploring began when I was a child. So I have spent nearly all of my life walking and climbing not only in the UK but all over Europe including Mont Blanc to name but one.

There are many regular walks for you to choose from on the Guided Daily Hikes  page which cater for all tastes and fitness levels, however, bespoke walks can very often be arranged upon enquiry.

My name is Lynne and I am Andy’s wife and look after all the administration for Tenerife Guided Walks including enquiries, queries and bookings.

I am a relative newbie to hiking, but thanks to Andy Tenerife Walker, my eyes have been opened to the wonder and joy of hiking Tenerife’s mountains and forests.

It never ceases to amaze me how much beauty there is on our little island, and my particular passion is for the Laurel and Pine forests that grace our dramatic hills. I am also interested in wild flowers and the history of the island and have extensively researched the Spanish Conquest of Tenerife and regularly blog about this and my walks in general.  Check out our blogs page.

Whilst I get out for a hike with Andy as often as possible to enjoy Tenerife’s great outdoors, my role in the business is to manage the day to day administration. This means that if you send us an enquiry by email or through the contact page, I will respond to you as soon as possible. All bookings are also confirmed with a “Booking Confirmation” by email straight away, so you can be assured that I will manage your reservation as quickly and efficiently as possible.   (Please note our reply will probably go into your junk folder!)
