When walking in any terrain, climate or weather conditions, your kit list is very important. Please take a moment to review our suggested kit list.
IMPORTANT- During April, May, June, October, November and early December we have the biannual muflon cull with live ammunition in the Parque Nacional del Teide; muflon are wild sheep.
The days affected are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so the vast majority of the hiking routes in the Teide National Park will be closed, but it also affects some walks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During this period hikes can only take place in the Parque Nacional del Teide on Saturdays, Sundays and only some routes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
