This hike is mainly above 2,000m and offers panoramic views of the islands of El Hierro, La Gomera and La Palma.  Much of this walk is in the lunar landscape of the Parque Nacional del Teide which was given UNESCO World Heritage status in 2007.

The hike will appeal to anyone interested in Tenerife’s natural beauty, geology, history and archaeology and the highlight of this walk is to see some of the lava tubes that were used by the Guanches.

This picturesque alpine style hike explores a high undulating ridge with some short steep ascents that offer panoramic views of the laurel forest.

We then follow a path deep into the sub-tropical rain forest; this is without doubt one of the most important eco-systems on the island.

Then, just like magic, a mountain landscape appears that could be out of "The Sound of Music" where we are given one of the most spectacular panoramic views the island has to offer. 

This is part of an old trading route known as the Camino de Chasna. This partly cobbled trail takes in some of the finest scenery which traverses from north to south for some 80+ km.

This is one of our fabulous new walks in the beautiful remote countryside that overlooks the western coastal plains of Tenerife.

The main feature of the walk is a waterfall; a cascade of water which is very unusual for Tenerife and a beautiful place to stop for lunch. NB this is not the Barranco del Infierno!

Apart from this, there are also several interesting different landscapes along the way, such as country lanes and farmland with great views of La Gomera, Mount Teide in the distance, and Canarian pine forest.

The Parque Rural de Teno is on the north west of the island and there are many bespoke hikes. 

On this walk you can expect to see long undulating ridges with vistas abounding down towards the sea, quaint isolated villages and hamlets, small sections of laurel forest AKA the “enchanted forest” but basically, the actual route will be predetermined depending on client’s aspirations and ability.

With 360º panoramic views which are out of this world, the ascent and descent are both dramatic for different reasons, although, mainly on a good mixture of mountain paths and forest trails in the Corona forestal. 

The highlight of the ascent is when the path runs adjacent to the open barranco which gives us spectacular views across the picturesque Orotava Valley.  Upon reaching the summit the vistas across the National Park to Mount Teide are second to none. 

A magnificent hiking tour through the ever changing and bizarre volcanic landscape of the Las Cañadas region of the Teide National Park where we also discover the ancient Guanche “Tagoro” meeting circles of yesteryear. 

The walk starts on pleasant terrain through desert like landscape where magnificent vistas of Mount Teide abound. 

After an hour we have a steep climb (the only one on this hike), up the impressive Arenas Negras (black sands) followed by easy walking where fantastic views of Mount Teide come into view once more. 

Much of this walk, as the name implies, takes us in and out of 5 or so barrancos (gorges), many of which are very steep sided and extremely dramatic. 

Although, it must be said, the paths are not dangerous but care is needed in places because of fallen pine cones on the forest floor.  Generally, it is an “up and down” hike after the initial climb through the barrancos.

Discover the dramatic north coastline of Tenerife where many historic and natural attractions are found. 

The clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and small shale/black sandy beaches and coves are a stunning backdrop for this lovely walk.  Long stretches of dramatic coast line dominate the view as far as the eye can see.

During the walk you will see many banana trees and palm groves and old manor houses of a bygone age. 

By early January, the almond blossom starts to bloom in the hills and mountains of Tenerife and lasts until about the end of February.

The Almond Blossom Trail is a truly beautiful walk as during this time of year the landscape is dotted with shades of pink and white. 

This walk takes us through open countryside, farm land and the lava flows from the 1909 eruption at the Chinyero vent and has spectacular views over the mountains and down to sea.
