Much of this walk, as the name implies, takes us in and out of 5 or so barrancos (gorges), many of which are very steep sided and extremely dramatic.
Although, it must be said, the paths are not dangerous but care is needed in places because of fallen pine cones on the forest floor. Generally, it is an “up and down” hike after the initial climb through the barrancos.
In our opinion, this is a truly fantastic hike and words cannot adequately describe its beauty. Probably, the best view of the day is 20 or so minutes before the end of the walk of the infamous Barranco del Infierno; a deep and beautiful ravine.
